There is likely to be a sensational development with the Queensland Floods Commission of Inquiry in the next 24 hours involving the accuracy and reliability of flood modelling on the Brisbane River.
Questions are also likely to be raised regarding the adequacy of the professional qualifications of the Seqwater dam engineers.
It is hard to see that the Inquiry could properly finalise its task without scheduling further hearings to fully test the new claims.
This could make the release date of the final report of Friday 16 March 2012 - just 8 days before the state election - quite problematical.
